Reasons Why I Keep Reading iMonk (a.k.a. Michael Spencer)

My brother Paul and I had a conversation a couple of years ago. We both had been reading Michael Spencer, a.k.a. internetmonk, for some time. We talked about blogging and what to say, as if someone might read it. He said there were times it would be better if he just pointed his url to www.internetmonk.com.

Linking is dangerous. There are some who come to check out your site thinking everything to which you link indicates your unflinching agreement at every point. In Michael’s referenced articles to Karen Armstrong and N.T. Wright, he does what we need to do. It is right to point the value of something read whether or not you agree with every jot and tittle. Let your reader work through it.

In case you are wondering, I am nearly in complete agreement with the post I reference here.
