Avoiding “my way” as the “only way” …

I tire of the denominational thing. It is good to see some healthy dialogue taking place. If you are interested and inclined, you might click to read –

Marty on the Machine
Steve on the Medium for Change
And Paul attempting to marry the two in some way. (Should not be read as a snipe at Marty or Steve. A careful reading of both their blogs will reveal they view this as both/and but sometimes more recent posts overshadow earlier posts and we get to thinking one is talking about an either/or framework for viewing the situation in the SBC).

i agree. there has to be something better. or at least something that feels more helpful than current denominational structures. or at least out of my tradition.

i’m 25. i want accountability. i want to do together what i can’t do alone. i want resources. networking.

but i don’t see my former denonimation offering any of those.

if denominations exist to provide above things, then i’m forced to look elsewhere for them. and currently, options are somewhat limited.

and so i sit on an island at 25.
