Friday Photo

Cabin fever had set in a couple of weeks ago. We ventured out and along one of our favorite routes sits this old forgotten house. There seems an uncanny quiet  and stillness after such a snow. Could be the absence of traffic. Maybe it is one of those aftermath moments we are given to take in whatever has been left after a storm. Whatever it may be this seemed to capture what many felt like as they lost electricity and found it near impossible to get from one place to another.

  1. This reminds me soooo much of growing up and old places around here and as we drove to Vici to see grandma. These places are gradually collapsing we notice as we drive out west now. So glad you got an amazing picture of this old home that holds so many stories of the past!

    1. Thanks Shelley. When we lived in SW OK and south of Dallas we often saw the old homes and barns you describe. Patty likes the old barns that show signs of falling in.
