Friday Photo – In the Shadow

One of the remarks Bill made while we were in San Cristobal described the  natural resource found in Guatemala – beautiful vistas. Too often we do not stop long enough to breathe in the beauty of Creation.

John and I were taking in the views from the rooftop seating of a Cafe in Antigua debriefing from our week. Bill’s description and the eyewitness experience continue to prod me to stop and take notice of the beauty of Creation – God’s gift in the face of stories often marring that very beauty.

Antigua seems to always be in the shadow of mountains and volcano. Maybe this is a way to think about our own lives, always in the shadow.

Enjoy.
