Friday Photo – Seclusion

Sometimes the busyness of life creates a longing for seclusion. When we were in Antigua the Friday before Palm Sunday the town was bustling. Evidently many make a sort of pilgrimage to Antigua to celebrate the event. Just behind me when taking this photograph was a busy food market. That is, vendors were selling varieties of foods cooked much like vendors at a state fair.

I spotted these two siblings perched on a ledge outside the church where the Palm Sunday festivities had begun. Out of the way. Out of the rush.

The older I get the more I look for these sorts of opportunities. I am a people person. I have never been a loner. But, sometimes we need some seclusion that provides something of a Sabbath when most of our time is spent in the middle of something.

May you find such a place.

Enjoy.
