Last weekend we took a trip to Hugo, Oklahoma – “Circus City USA.” We spent a bit of time in the cemetery. Odd you say? There are not too many cemeteries that provide a dedicated area to “circus people.” We took a number of photographs. As a pastor, I have been in not just a few cemeteries. The tall pines, the landscape, and the natural lay of the area combine to make this one of the most peaceful, beautiful cemeteries.
I spotted this trash receptacle down one of the lanes in the cemetery. I thought to myself, “Everything in its place.” Even this rusty barrel had its place.
Over the next few weeks I will offer some of the scenery that illustrates the sense of peacefulness we found as we walked the grounds.
