We rarely accept that buildings sit empty for twenty or more years. Even more, we would be appalled at the prospect of a building meant to provide wellness and health sitting vacant. But that is the case with a small cinder block building sitting at the top of this mountain village outside of Santa Cruz, Alta Verapaz.

Imagine that for about $20,000 a group, church, or individual could resurrect this building and ready the space for a health outpost to meet the needs of 3000 people. One church in northwest Oklahoma is doing to do just that. Yesterday we traveled to that village, met with a representative of the village leaders, and plotted for a fence and envisioned an expanded building with quarters for a full-time nurse.

I am not sure there is a better illustration of practicing Resurrection during this Lenten Season.
