Irony and Christianity

Earlier this week I received an email from David Fitch. It contained my grade for the course I took, “Readings in Postmodern Philosophy and Theology,” he led with Geoff Holsclaw. One of those whom we read was Peter Rollins. I am hopeful I may be able to make it to Texas while he is on his current tour of the US. If not, I will hope someone will video at least a clip like Tony Jones did here. I have and continue to recommend How (Not) to Speak of God and The Fidelity of Betrayal. Listen carefully to Rollins discuss “Irony and Christianity.” He intends to work to decenter the irony we can lay claim to the gospel withouth a complete subjective transformation.
