Number 4 – Happy Birthday Cohen Alan

Maybe one day they will like their photos taken. Selfies for our Grandboys would be more a matter of technological curiosity than, “Hey, look at me!”

I posted a Throwback Thursday, #tbt, photo from 1966 last week. Depending on the time of the year I would have been 3 or so. I posted it thinking about Cohen and Max. I would have been somewhere around their ages. Cohen would be turning 4 and Max is not long from 3. Somewhere between their ages in this photo from our vacation this past June.

Today we celebrate Cohen’s 4th birthday. We all take some occasion to reflect on our beginnings. Cohen’s came early and not with a little complication. I went back and read my first post on Cohen titled, Welcome Cohen Alan – Early But Safe. Despite our inexperience with premies most told us, “Just wait, they will catch up.” My cousin Mark sent me a note about his son and how he had grown. We appreciated all those affirmations.

In the event you did not click over to read my first post, here is the photo as they were wheeling Cohen to the NICU four years ago today.
