Reflections After God – Thoughts from the Edge

Reflections. They are rarely an “exact” representation. The medium the image is reflected onto bears the marks that alter the original image. Even still we can see in the reflection what is represented. Moses imperfectly reflects God’s glory to the people, but he does reflect God’s glory. (Exodus 34) Paul remarks those who follow Jesus are by the Spirit being changed from one degree of glory to the next. As imperfectly as implied, Jesus followers are becoming more accurate reflections of the glory of God. Even if by small degree after small degree.

If Isaiah 6 suggests a way forward for a theology of absence, Exodus 34 and 2 Corinthians 3 may point to a theology of reflections. What do you think?

  1. Thanks for the shout-out! Good stuff in this edition.

Hey, did you know there’s a Snow Hill, MD? When getting the updated closings reports, we kept seeing Snow Hill Baptist Church, Snow Hill…Turns out there’s a Snow Hill BC in Snow Hill, MD

    1. David,
      Thanks.

Some years ago I learned there was a Snow Hill in MC. I imagine with the recent weather there, it is more fitting than the 58 and sunny we had today. And, no snow on the hill.
