The Ides of March … Dividing …

Mrs. Burdette taught English at Northwest Classen. We spent some time with Shakespeare. I recall the words from Julius Caesar, “Beware the Ides of March.” According to Wikipedia, this signaled the dividing of March and referred to March 15, the day Julius Caesar was assassinated in 44 B.C.

Confessionally, this March had one bright spot, March 18. Patty and I celebrated our 23rd Anniversary. Other than that, the month has been rough to say the least. We got home this evening to find out Duane McClure passed away suddenly this afternoon. I was looking forward to the “McClure” team playing in our annual golf scramble at the end of April. Always pleasant and encouraging, I will miss Duane’s regular mantra to me on Sunday mornings, “Will you be in the area all day?”

Prayers for the family …
