One of these days someone will need kitchen utensils. We would not normally think about those items when the entire house is gone. But, Lisa Holzerland remembers when she lost her house to a tornado nearly ten years ago in Nebraska.

Lisa thought about how she might help those affected by the May 20 tornado here in Oklahoma. She remembered her kitchen. Now a Pampered Chef Advance Director, Lisa created a campaign to both raise money and provide those basic kitchen needs. Here is how she describes it,

Hi everyone. I have a request that is close to my heart. Some of you may know that our family had a tornado hit our home when we lived in Hallam, Ne in May of 2004. Our town was demolished and our home was a total loss. Many, many people came to help and donated their time, money, and also items which helped us get back things we had lost. We felt so loved by those people who didn’t even know us and I want to return the favor.

I am holding a Pampered Chef fundraiser online where you can purchase items for these people so they can get back on their feet. I am also donating 100% of my commission from this to the American Red Cross because they were there for us right away and I believe in that organization. If you would please consider purchasing some basic items, I have a contact in Oklahoma where all the items will be shipped. It is the Pastor at Snow Hill Baptist Church in Tuttle, Oklahoma. All items will be shipped there and distributed to the families.
