Alongside: Reflections on Compassion – Thoughts from the Edge

We celebrate Compassion Sunday this week at Snow Hill. Pointing to opportunities to express compassion fits well with the ongoing celebration of Easter and the practice of resurrection. We tend to “feel sorry” for people and keep our actions to a minimum. Following Jessu, who is the mark for us, we ought consider laying our lives down for others as an expression of our understanding of both what it means to follow Jesus and share in the common experience of human-ness – image bearers of God.
