Standing with the Sanitation Workers: A Reprise of Adam Clark on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

Many teachers in Oklahoma walked out of their schools to the Oklahoma Capitol on Monday. They are still walking out. Today marks the 50th anniversary of the assassination of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. The confluence of events should not lead us to think somehow the two events are identical. But, we should not miss that non-violent resistance has a long history.

Here is a link to the talk Adam Clark gave on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. at an event I attended a couple of years ago. Adam referred to Dr. King’s unheard sermon, “Why America May Go To Hell.” This talk is worth your time and for me may be timeless.
