Weighing in on “The Passion of the Christ” …

Long before the movie came out I suggested Christ followers only go see the movie if they took someone who needed to become a Christ follower – a Christian. After reading a number of reviews, some good and some bad, Patty and I decided we should see the film to make an informed decision for the purposes of recommendation and dialogue.

I now think that it would be better to take someone you have already talked to about Jesus and what it means to follow him. I also think it might be a good film for those who have lost touch with what it means to follow Christ. I would hope it would serve to remind us of the great “giving” of Jesus, the Christ.

I will wait until more have had an opportunity to see the film before commenting further. Leave a comment if you have seen the film. Tell me what you think about it. I am going to start a thread over at “Convergence.”

It appears Charlie beat me to it! Thanks for getting us started over there Charlie.
