The rhythms of life include a variety of experiences. For pastors we often witness the highs and lows, the ups and downs. This week’s photos capture the intersection of those extremes. Marie holds Cohen. She prayed for Kimberly and Craig for the few years they hoped to have a child. Her own experience with her daughter gave Patty and me an empathic friend. Once she heard the news we would be grandparents, she remembered the joy she felt when her daughter Judy told them she would have a child years ago.
Today Marie battles cancer. It is not her first bout. But, it is her most difficult. Doctors have given her little hope of winning this time. Her inimitable spirit pervasively exposes her confidence in the Resurrection of Jesus, and her own.
Pray for Marie. We do.
