Sad Day – Fowler Considers Board Action a Business Decision

When many mourn the fall of Joe Paterno in the aftermath of the ongoing scandal surrounding a former Penn State assistant coach, one wonders if those mourners will weep for the victims of abuse.

On ESPN last night, Chris Fowler suggested the action of the Penn State Board of Trustees was a business decision rather than a moral decision. If he is correct, the event is even more tragic. And, one wonders if this could be proved if it would not be appropriate to elect a new Board for they would really be doing the same that it appears Paterno may have done – simply made a decision in his own best interest.

Someone must stand and declare this was more than saving face for Penn State. The action of the Board must represent a certain moral authority.
