Believing the Worst About Those With Whom We Disagree

Long before November 4th I grew embarrassed. How could someone who professes a faith in Jesus, the Christ and contends for the rule and reign of God take to mis-information? For some reason “thou shalt not bear false witness” only applies to those with whom we agree. I did not grow up understanding the text offered such a loophole. But, this election cycle brought any number of illustrations we who claim to have a relationship with He who is the Truth find it hard to let the truth speak for itself.

Emily, always the insightful writer, offers her post-election thoughts. In the spirit of my last post, I thought it might be good to get another’s opinion. You would do well to read her post and engage her analysis. You may not like it. Yet, you need it. The Church needs it. The world needs the Church to “get this.”
