We scrambled. Helpless.
Patty and I hoped we would get to the hospital before Cohen would be born. She as able to get off work a little early. Our prayer was she would hold on until we arrived at Children’s. We made it.
The little guy weighed 2.7 pounds. He required what we affectionately called the “Blue Lights.” We did not know then how serious the threat. We simply believed he would make it. They covered his little eyes to protect them.
Two years later we put him in sunglasses to protect his eyes from the Colorado sun while waiting for the July 4th Parade in Creede. I suspect his busyness could be attributed to his first four weeks confined to an incubator. He loves to be “on the go.” And, we are glad.
Happy Birthday Cohen Alan!

Gary,
We are going to celebrate the little guy this evening and Saturday morning.
Thanks for stopping by and offering some encouragement.
