The Breeze

Writing has been sparse for a number of reasons not the least of which was an enjoyable week at camp with our students. Each morning we invited our students to spend some quiet reflective time with the Scripture listening to the Spirit of God. One morning I found the breeze exceptionally refreshing and wrote the following poem.

The Breeze

The stillness is broken as it moves
Moves through the tall oaks and pines – swiftly
Swiftly the limbs move form side to side
Side to side exposing the breeze

Breeze coming from who know where
Where we sit or walk we feel its relief
Relief brought by Him who gives relief through Jesus to all
