That’s right. I have been sitting on this news for a few weeks. Our oldest daughter and her husband stopped by on a Sunday morning to show us the results of a home pregnancy test. Then, they said, “You can’t tell anyone for a while.” What?! For quite some time they have hoped for this day. The accompanying high hopes and low realities have made for quite an emotional roller coaster for longer than they care to experience again.
We are excited. I am going to be getting used to the idea of a new “title.” Sometime in late September the “future” part will drop off and it will be real. Nathan is thinking his birthday would be a good one. Others are lining up with their hoped for date. Boy or girl it does not matter to Patty and me. Healthy is our hope.
So, for now, you may call me “future” grandpa.
Sooooo awesome! You guys will be amazing grandparents!!! Papa, Grandad, Pops, Gramps, etc…..:)
That is so amazing! Kids are such a blessing!
Yes, it is amazing that at my “very” young age we would be expecting grandchildren! 🙂 We too think children are a blessing.
Congratulations Todd–and of course to the parents too!
Thanks!
